Pier Avenue bathrooms after huge storms in 1983 carved out a great amount of sand.

Former wooden ramp at the end of Pier Avenue. Great storms in 1983 removed considerable sand.

Wooden ramp was used by street vehicles to go over soft dry sand and down to wet hard sand. Nobody ever worried about getting stuck at the ramp in the days prior to the 1983 storms that washed away so much sand on the beach.
